WGP Orr-acle 3-Way

Up until this review, I had been using a Dye P.M.P. 3-way. I realized that due to a design limitation (read:the super-huge o-rings) of the Dye, it was not able to run at extremely low cocking pressures. I decided, mainly because a goal for my gun is to have it pinch paint, that I should get in the market for a new 3-way. Along came the Orr-acle 3-way. Let me start out by saying, WGP did it again.

Installation

Installation is just like any other 3-way. Remove your low pressure reg, remove the front set screw on the timing collar, remove your old 3-way and shaft, reinstall new 3-way shaft and body, reinstall reg. Simple enough. Then all you have to do is retime your gun. This 3-way is so simple to fine tune its not even funny. You have to make sure that the coupler on the timing rod is threaded to about the right distance for it to work.

Features

Well, it's a 3-way, but it's loaded with some great options you won't find anywhere else. First off is the adjustment knob on the front. This allows you to fine tune your timing. If you've set the timing rod length right, you can fine tune the switching point with this knob. It makes minute adjustments, but allows you to get the most precise timing possible. Simply put, it blows any other 3-way out of the water in ease of adjustment. No more fumbling around with the timing collar. The built-in spool valve also allows the switch length to be extremely short on this 3-way. It is comparable to a Shocktech Bomb or Dye PMP 3-way in length, or just about 1 millimeter.

Performance

The feel of the pull is silky smooth. Hats off to WGP; the o-rings on the 3-way shaft are sized perfectly, and the trigger pull feels like butter. The ease of adjustment due to the adjuster knob is a real headache-saver. I have been using this 3-way for about 6 months now, and I have yet to have it leak. It will seal at almost any pressure, letting you pinch paint and be more efficient on air. I have been using this 3-way with a WGP Hinge Frame with a shortened trigger pull, and let me tell you, the rate of fire you can achieve is unbelievable.

Summary

This is the 3-way to have. If you have an orracle, you have it alread. If you're looking into upgrading your 3-way and you want the shortest, smoothest stroke at any pressure, this is the way to go. Any good store that carries Autococker parts should have this in inventory. If you're looking for the perfect 3-way to accent your trigger setup, whether it's set up to be super-short or a bit longer, this is where your search should end.
