As I'm in the process of upgrading my gun to be ready for low pressure, the next thing on my list was a low pressure regulator for the front pneumatics. Deciding that I wanted a functional reg as well as one to match my Dye 3-way, I decided to go to P&P and get the new Dye LP Reg. Pretty and functional according to their salesman, so here I am. Once agian, this is broken down into parts.
Installation was straightforward and as simple as any other regulator: take off the old hose and reg, loctite the new threads, screw on hand tight plus one or two turns with a wrench, let set, and viola. Setting the pressure is just like setting a rock or almost any other lp reg: turn right to increase pressure, left to decrease. Preety straightforward for no directions.
SO far, the reg hasn't let me down. I play with a shroud on my
gun, so the knob that's used to adjust pressure doesn't wiggle much. The
pressure the reg puts on the knob also keeps it in place. I've found it
to be quite reliable when cocking, it can use less pressure than the stock
regulator and also saves on air this way, making your marker more efficient.
It also somewhat reduces a little of the kick from the marker. Although
I really don't have means right now to test it, pressure seems to be pretty
consistent, as I haven't had shoot-down, even when fanning the trigger.
Looks
It looks very much like the Dye 3-way, stunning colors,
a bullet-shaped pressure knob, and the Dye logo inscribed on the side
of it so the guy you just shot knows what you're using for pneumatics.
Mine had no anodizing imperfections whatsoever (blue to match my Dye 3-way).
Summary
I have found the Dye LP Regulator to be a gorgeous, reliable workhorse of a pneumatics regulator. It's artistically crafted and performes just as well as any other LP regulator. For the money, you could get a Rock reg, but if you want some extra looks on your gun, consider the Dye LP Regulator.

Addendums:
3/17/04 - After several incidents of my Dye reg creeping, and flat out
not working (sending 100+psi right into my 3-way) I have determined that
this reg must be greased/oiled every few cases of paint. There is a piston
inside the reg body that has two seals on it. If these dry out, the reg
ceases to function. It's not too bad, but if you have an eBlade or any
electronic kit, blowing the solenoid out is possible. Because of this,
I wouldn't recomment this reg be used on any electronic 'cocker. It's
still fine 99% of the time, but just the fact that it can fail warrants
me to recommend another reg.
